Tongan Beach Resort
Tongan Beach Resort spans 180 meters of beachfront with all 18 guest rooms enjoying views of the golden sand beach and crystal clear turquoise waters of the Port of Refuge Harbour and, on some days, the humpbacks are seen frolicking in the beautiful clear waters in from of the resort. Our boat picks you up at the jetty each morning and heads out to the whale nursery.
The resort is a welcoming palm tree lined haven, nestled on a white sand beachfront on the island of ‘Utungake and it offers safe swimming and snorkeling along the shoreline at all tides. The fully licensed restaurant is open from 7am til late, providing delicious meals made from the freshest local produce, and the famous Sandpit Bar, serves excellent cocktails as well as an extensive variety of wine and spirits.
All rooms have top quality beds and 100% cotton bedding and towels and are only meters away from the water’s edge. The rooms are air-conditioned and are fitted with ceiling fans, if open doors and a natural sea breeze are desired. Each room has its own covered decked balcony with table and beach chairs… relax, read a book and chill out… enjoy the spectacular sunsets as you gaze across the water.
